Dr. Marymor is a native of Pennsylvania. He received his MD degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980.  He completed his residency at the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and at the Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He was Chief Resident general surgery in 1986 at the Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. Prior to working with patients at Barix Clinics in Pennsylvania, Dr. Marymor was in private practice in Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania, performing vascular and general surgery.

Dr. Marymor is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
