Dr. Andre' Nunn* is a bariatric and general surgeon with over 17 years of general surgical experience. He serves as a bariatric surgeon at Forest Health Medical Center in southeast Michigan. Prior to working with patients at Barix Clinics, Dr. Nunn was the founder of Detroit Bariatrics.

Dr. Nunn obtained his undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his Medical degree at The University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Marshall University School of Medicine. He specializes in minimally invasive bariatric surgery including Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass and Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band surgery, having performed hundreds of these procedures in the Detroit area since 2004.

Dr. Nunn is board certified with the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). His memberships include The National Medical Association, Detroit Medical Society, Detroit Surgical Association, The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and The American College of Surgeons. Dr. Nunn has served as a clinical professor of surgery since 2000. He has earned numerous honors including the Wayne State Department of Surgery Theodore McGraw Clinical Faculty Teaching Award in 2001. Dr. Nunn was also honored as one of Hour Magazine's "Top Doctor's in Detroit" in 2003.
