Jamokay Taylor, MD, FACS
Dr. Jamokay Taylor* is a bariatric and general surgeon with over 9 years of general surgical experience. He serves as a bariatric surgeon at Forest Health Medical Center in southeast Michigan. Prior to working with patients at Barix Clinics, Dr. Taylor worked for the American Bariatric Medicine Institute and the CORI center. Dr. Taylor also currently works in the trauma center at Sinai Grace Hospital and Harper Hospital.
Dr. Taylor obtained his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Maryland at Baltimore and his Medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Wayne State University. He specializes in minimally invasive bariatric surgery including Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass and Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band surgery.
Dr. Taylor is board certified with the American Board of Surgery. His memberships include The American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, and American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Taylor performs the following procedures at Barix Clinics:
- Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
- Open Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
- Adjustable Gastric Band (LAP-BAND® and REALIZE™ Band used)
